Books! there is a limited number of chronic pain books available in libraries now.. i think if you’re in Auckland you can ask for books from different libraries through yours so its worth jumping on the computers and searching chronic pain and/or specific book titles you’re looking for. I’ve found some fantastic books over the years, but i own relatively few. once i get some spare money however i intend to get every book on this list, and more if they dont work for me i can give them to the library, they may work for someone else.
Each book is linked to somewhere you can buy it, if you feel like it. a lot of them are through amazon so through that website you can look through some of the books and see whether they’ll work for you. Some of these were recommended by doctors or practitioners i’ve dealt with, some are ones i found and some are from the TARPS reading list.
TARPS has a small library of books which are available to those goin g through the Pain Clinic course. Theres is also a library at Burwood Hospital in Canterbury which you can join remotely and will deliver books to you. i’m not sure what they have in their library, but you can always ask
