Kiwis with Chronic Pain

As our group grows, we’re finding more and more bloggers with Chronic Pain, so i thought i’d share them around :) better than only having my voice to listen to, and a source of brilliant writing and art. Enjoy

Reatha Kenny has Idiopathic multi-focal sensory neuropathy, which is not actually a disease it is a description of symptoms. Idiopathic means the doctors don’t know why she has it. Like many people with neuropathy she may never find out why she has it or what caused it. She blogs with brutal but brilliant honesty about her daily experiences with her condition, her body and her doctors, punctuating the posts with her amazing photographs.

Rebecca Fordyce has Dercums’ Disease, the third rarest condition in the world. Her blog is called In my Body and she writes about living with her condition as well as the rest of her life, and shares her artwork. As she puts it,”I can’t promise to be a good writer or even a good person. But I will promise to be authentic.” She writes amazingly well, wish i could write half as well as she does.  Definately worth a look, or five, for that and for the fact that this amazing woman needs and deserves all the support we can give her.

Sam Wheeler doesnt have a blog, i’d be suprised if he had the time, but he was featured in this article on the NZ body art awards

If any of you blog, or know of other kiwis who also blog please let me know so i can add them to this page! Thanks :)
