About the Piece: This was sketched from a photo I took of myself a few years ago on a bad day. The chains and hooks are reprehensive of the chronic pain and the tender points.
The blood from the mouth is because your friends and family would rather cut out your tongue than hear about it sometimes.
The blood from the eyes and the spikes in the head are the migraines.
The guts spilling out with the spiders and scorpions is the Irritable Bowl Syndrome and stomach cramps.
The needle is the monthly shot
The pills in the guts are that feeling that you are filled up with them in order just to function.
It is so hard to explain Fibromyalgia pain to a non sufferer but they say a picture is worth a thousand words.. so here it is.
