Sam Wheeler – Grid

this entry is a song and can be heard here

Lyrics:
Drink the water from my cupped hand
If you thirst if you need
Smooth the cracked lips with a cube
If you gasp if you need
Candles shiver as you burn
I recoil I join the ranks
Souls that wither as they fall
Hold your head to the sun
Raise those lids and call again
Oh my friend you drain

When the hand between your shoulder blades falls away
Can you stand without a prop
Splint your spine wired and rivet
Cantanker me your strong enough

Patch worked skin I suture you
butchered boy your ragged Oh so
Cauterize and bind you’ll heal
and most scars will fade

With a reaper grin you lope away
and I feel like a God
Mainlined black knuckles congealed
Needle back you bruise so sweet

Clean the blade were done today
next I’ll lick the mountains flat
Motion brings the answers back
Your my prodigy of pain
Felt so good I’ll sin again
Just to start another wave
and they’ll quake with all your acts
Fill me up with all I crave

With a reaper grin you lope away
and I feel like a God
mainlined black knuckles congealed
Needle back you bruise so sweet
