About the Piece: Originally I was just into drawing the foulest and creepiest monsters I could displaying great physical suffering. I would have been about 18 when I drew this I think which makes this drawing twenty years old. Now I see this as a self portrait.

For chronic pain sufferer’s the message is clear. The pain drives us insane. For some of us it makes us bitter and angry… wanting the whole world to suffer with us just so it understands. We become monsters.

About the Artist: I’m a painter, sculpture, musician, film-maker and animator. have had Fibromyalgia now for ten years.
