About the Piece: This is a pic of a happy girl doing burlesque (which is what I do) I messed with it in photoshop to try to convey the feeling I have when I am at these things.. the thoughts that lie behind the smile we have to portray to ‘seem lovely’ even though we are in agony. Especially if you’re in a corset and high heels, have spent hours getting ready and doing hair and eyelashes and performing, but still have to ‘schmoose’ and seem ok. This is to convey the thoughts I have and how much I hate that it messes with my passion and makes me come across as not friendly when I just want to go home and have a hot bath!

About the Artist: I love messing with photoshop. Have had a chronically sore back for almost ten years.. but I ‘look healthy’ can bend and stuff so they say there is nothing wrong. All the scans came back with nothing. I am a dancer and it is my passion and I still do it but the pain really messes with it!!
